New reports claimed that the miniature version of the recently released Samsung Galaxy S4 will be released sometime around July alongside the rugged version of the recently released Galaxy S4.

Rumour has it that the device would be out in either May or June of this year, just a few weeks after the arrival of the larger Galaxy S4. However, a new claim from SamMobile states that the Galaxy S4 Mini has been "delayed" by Samsung and that it likely won't be coming until a date between July 15th and July 21st.

The latest Galaxy S4 Mini leak comes in the form of a user string agent that was first discovered by Dutch site, TechTastic. The user string agent is for a Samsung device called the GT I-9190, the presumed model number of the Galaxy S4 Mini. The user string agent is not an indication of an imminent launch, but it does mean that Samsung is preparing the device for arrival.

Earlier leaks claimed that the device would be launching in multiple versions with a 4.3 inch display and up to quad-core processor depending on model: a dual-SIM version, which will likely not launch in the UK, would feature a dual-core processor, while a single-sim version supporting either 3G HSPA+ or 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity would include a quad-core chip. All versions, however, would include the same 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch (PPI).

While Samsung is disclosing its plans to launch a Galaxy S4 Mini, SamMobile claims to have word that it will be announcing the device later this week - with a view to releasing the device towards the end of May or the start of June. According to the site's anonymous source, the handset will be available in two colours at launch: Black Mist and White Frost.

Meanwhile, rumours claimed that South Korea tech giant will release a waterproof and dustproof version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 by the end of the year.

It seems that Samsung is trying to take on competitors such as Sony Xperia Z, which offers the same features.

This rumour was hinted by President of Samsung Gulf Electronics did say a rugged version of the South Korean company's flagship would be available in the near future at a recent press event.

Currently, Samsung Galaxy S4 is bound for its release in many parts of the world on Friday, April 26. The Galaxy S4 will feature a 1.9GHz quad-core processor rather than the eight-core Eynos 5 originally tipped.

Supposedly, an Octa-core version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be released later this year, but will only be available on 3G networks rather than the superfast 4G LTE signal.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen offering Full 1,920 x 1,080p HD resolutions with a 441p image density. Retaining the same height as the Samsung Galaxy S3, the new model is actually thinner than its predecessor at just 7.9mm thick in comparison to the 8.3mm measurements of the Galaxy S3.

Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 13-megapixel camera in the rear coupled with a 2-megapixel snapper in front. The flagship packs a whole host of new camera features like Dual Camera and features Samsung Galaxy Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Air View and Air Gesture functionality.

With a 2,600mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has three internal storage size options, all bolstered by the addition of a microSD card slot supporting cards up to 32GB. The current quad-core version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 provides 4G LTE connectivity as well as IR LED, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

No specific dates have been mentioned yet and Samsung itself has not confirmed anything.
