Samsung has unveiled an enhanced gaming experience for the Galaxy S4 smart phone at the launch event held in New York City. The South Korean technology giant's approach on the world of gaming with a Galaxy S4 game pad shows that the smart phone is ready to face tough competition with the Sony PlayStation 4 as well as the Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo.

During the Galaxy S4 launch event, Samsung set up a game arcade section for the attendees to try the latest smart phone's games such as Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 and the Electronic Art's Real Racing 3.

"We're delighted to be partnered with Samsung to bring some of our fans' favorite mobile gaming titles to the Samsung Galaxy S4 in time for launch," Glenn Roland, Electronic Arts (EA) Games Vice President of new platforms, stated in a press release.

"The device's higher resolution, larger screen and increased processing power will give our games an opportunity to look even more beautiful for Samsung consumers," Roland further added. EA Games will reportedly offer 16 games for the Samsung Galaxy S4 which includes The Sims, Simpsons: Tapped Out, Plants vs. Zombies, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Monopoly and Bejeweled Blitz.

On May 2013, Samsung will release the "Game Arcade" gamepad comparable to the Microsoft Xbox 360 controller featuring D-pad, four face buttons, dual analog sticks and shoulder. The controller can be attached at the bottom of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with 8 bundled games and works with 80 Android games. The controller will have smaller and lighter design than the other portable gaming controllers but it has not yet been priced.

Samsung Galaxy S4 with the gamepad controller can be connected as well to the HD TV screen where it competes with the Sony PlayStation 4 and the other gaming devices. Aside from that, the Galaxy S4 is equipped with notable hardware and features.

The unveiled Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen display with 1080p resolution, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and available storage capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB plus a microSD slot for expanded memory storage which is suitable for a superior gaming experience.
