The Verge got their hands on the upcoming flagship Android smartphone by Samsung, the Galaxy S4, which will be launched March 14, Thursday 7 p.m. in New York. Four new videos have leaked, highlighting the new features: SmartPause eye tracking and the Floating Touch control.
SmartPause Feature
It is the same feature LG announced recently which pauses a video playing when the user is not looking and resumes once someone looks back at the device. It is a type of eye recognition technology already used in some notebook devices, but Galaxy S4's type is still unclear. Check the demonstration:
Floating Touch Control
It is a Samsung's Air View S Pen functionality which is made to work without any stylus pen required. The main purpose of this feature is to open up the preview of stuffs in your phone such as thumbnail on video timeline without the need to tap the display. Simply hover your finger on top of the item. The leaked upload made a close-up of how the user actually show the effectiveness of this cool feature.
New Lock Screen
Samsung Galaxy S4 made a new lock screen for their latest smartphone, and it displays an amazing effect upon touch. The user demoed how, and colourful flares begin to come out as a reaction of the device to touching and swiping across the screen which leave some trail effects as well, similar to magical wands.
Browsing Experience
A whole new experience browsing with Galaxy S4 awaits users: fast, smooth and very responsive, as if the device won't suffer any lags at all. Another cool experience is that the Floating Touch Control affects the browser as well. Wave your hand down, the page scrolls down and the same goes with waving up. Waving left or right also sways the Web browser to change between tabs.
