Samsung has been popular for diversifying its products and exploring as many variants as possible. Since the company released its first line of Galaxy S, it has ventured into different screen sizes, colors and customizable options depending on the carrier. According to recent information, Samsung plans on releasing two S4 editions: Samsung Galaxy S4 Black and S4 Mini Black.

Samsung Galaxy S5 has been making headlines for the last few weeks. As the market buzz around the upcoming flagship, it will come as no surprise if the Korean tech giant plans on refreshing its Galaxy S4 line slightly. If Samsung will remain true to its practice, the company will continue to offer the S4 in 2014 but for a cheaper price.

According to a report by SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini will have a Black Edition this February 2014. The S4 has been sold in a range of colors. Some colors limited to a specific region. Whereas there is a "black" version of the S4, the device's color borders more around dark gray and not black entirely.

Analysts think that the reported "black edition" will feature a truly deep black color. This should look incredibly striking especially with the AMOLED display of the product line. Samsung has not confirmed whether it will provide the black edition in all countries. Chances are the black edition will be available first in selected countries before it hits the rest of the world.

There are also no details if the black edition will be available for single and dual SIM options of the S4 mini. SIM options are popular in some parts of Europe and throughout Asia. It may be advantageous for Samsung to offer the new edition with SIM options for better market reach.

If Samsung confirms the black edition for single SIM option then this could mean a US launch. However, there are no details yet on which carrier will release the version first. The Mobile World Congress will be held in February and it appears Samsung will be making several device announcements and launches at that time. If analysts are right, then people can have a peak at the Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite, Samsung Galaxy S4 Black and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini black.
