Christmas is around the corner and many people are expecting to find a smartphone under the tree.

Samsung Galaxy J turned the heads of many people worldwide because of its metal body. When Samsung first announced the Galaxy J last Oct., it was thought that it was only meant for Japanese market. However, the device appears again early this week in a video teaser from Samsung's subsidiary in Taiwan. The smartphone will be hit the market later this month. The unlocked version of Samsung Galaxy J costs $740.

Another option for smartphone buyers is the good, old Samsung Galaxy S4. The price starts at $199 with a two year contract with a carrier. Below is the comparison of the specs and features of Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy J.

Screen Display - Both devices comes with 5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processor - Samsung Galaxy S4 boasts two quad core chips inside. One is the 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 processor and the other is the 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. The processors are paired with 2 GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy J, on the other hand, packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of RAM. Moreover, the Galaxy J is equipped with Adreno 330 GPU that promises faster processing.

Operating System - Samsung Galaxy S4 was released with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS in tow. However, reports claimed that Samsung and carriers is already rolling out the 4.3 Jelly Bean OS update. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy J comes with the 4.3 version out of the box.

Internal Storage - Samsung Galaxy S4 comes in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants. Samsung Galaxy J comes with 16 GB version. However, both devices comes with external storage of up to 64 GB via microSD slot.

Camera - Both handsets come with 13 MP rear camera.

Battery - The two smartphones come with removable 2,600 mAh Li-on battery.
