Samsung Galaxy S4 may have found its match with HTC's upcoming smartphone - HTC M7.

HTC M7 is rumored to have a 5-inch Full HD 1080p screen display similar to the HTC J Butterfly and Droid DNA. The blog also got hold of the specifications of the rumored HTC device. According to the report, HTC M7 will feature a 5-inch HD display, a uni-body aluminum shell, Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

As per a report in HTC Source, HTC is planning to launch HTC M7 as early as Q1 2012, in an attempt to upstage Samsung Galaxy S4. HTC is known in releasing handsets on the first quarter of the year. The Taiwanese mobile manufacturer is known for making sturdy phones.

The HTC J Butterfly is a smartphone released exclusively in Japan. In the United States, HTC and Verizon Wireless finally unveiled the rumored smartphone HTC Droid DNA and its amazing specs and features that make other smartphones bite the dust.

The much talked about HTC Droid DNA was finally introduce at a press event early this month in New York. Although not a perfect smartphone, its pixel-dense display and body design are surely up for competition.

The new HTC Droid DNA boasts 5-inch 1080p HD Super LCD3 display. It included 440 pixels per inch like the iPhone 5 and puts most other smartphone displays to shame. The DNA runs Google's Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and includes HTC's Sense 4.0+ user interface overlay.

Although the device is sports a Full HD screen display, it falls short in the storage option and battery life. HTC Droid DNA has 16GB of internal storage and a little over 2000 mAh battery capacity.

However, there is no official comment yet from HTC about the rumored smartphone.

If the rumors proved to be true, the device will battle head on with the successor of Samsung Galaxy S3. It was previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will sport a 5-inch full HD display with full 1080p and a whopping 440 pixels per inch. The device will be powered by two quad core chips.

The Galaxy S4 might also sport a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, which will intimate other smartphones with 8MP back shooters.

The handset should come with a minimum of 2GB RAM, although there are reports that Samsung is testing an unidentified smartphone with 3GB RAM.

Samsung also began mass producing 128GB memory chips for smartphones and tablets earlier this year, and we could see storage capacities that high as early as next year. With this, the Samsung will continue its reign in producing devices with large storage capacity.

However, Samsung kept mum on the rumors surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4. There is no official comment from the South Korea's tech giant.
