Samsung Galaxy S5 features Android 4.4 KitKat, octa-core processor, new TouchWiz UI, rapid charging and more which you'll see at MWC 2014. However, at least five important features are not going to be included which you may find on either HTC One 2 or Sony Xperia Sirius.

Iris Recognition

Samsung dropped the Iris Recognition or Eye Scanner in favour of Fingerprint Sensor just like with Apple. Eye scanning technology for mobile devices is an impractical added security feature as it is not favourable in certain situations such as inside the theatre, bars and anything else that requires good line of sight. Furthermore, an additional camera module is needed to make the security feature work that will also add thickness on a flagship smartphone.

Magnetic Resonance

Magnetic resonance is a new wireless recharging technology but Samsung thinks that it's not marketable and will feature Rapid Charging instead. Sony has been reported to feature the technology on future Xperia smartphones that will only require users to charge Sony devices for only an hour without any damage it.

Flexible Display

YOUM is Samsung's brand for flexible and bendable display screens but no matter how great design concepts are, the technology is still premature for commercial use. Galaxy Round is the closest kind they've released and the only possible technology on the Galaxy S5 which may be featured. YOUM may be still be few years away from being commercially viable.

Anti-Hazard Proofing

Galaxy S5 doesn't feature anti-hazard proofing such as water or dust resistances unlike Sony's flagship smartphones. However, Samsung may release a variant like ACTIVE which happened to Galaxy S4 that features protection against natural hazards. But it is another device and performs a little bit lower than the original model.

Optical Image Stabilisation

Optical Image Stabilisation feature on the 16 MP rear camera of Galaxy S5 remains unconfirmed while Sony already included the technology for the Xperia Sirius' 20.7 MP Sony G lens camera. Galaxy S5 should boast for it is a very common feature among upcoming flagship smartphones and a way to match the camera prowess of iPhone 5S that defeated Galaxy S4 especially in processing capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy S5 boasts two set of processor chipsets - Exynos 6 and Snapdragon 805, 2900 mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat, qHD high resolution display and plastic/metallic versions. But it would be much better if Galaxy S5 will feature both OIS technology and resistances to become the most popular and resilient of all smartphones in 2014.
