Antutu benchmark team found a new Samsung device inside their database with model number SM-G900F which surfaced already as the alleged Galaxy S5 smartphone. They are 'almost' sure that it is the international variant, revealing the specs hidden inside.

SM-G900F Galaxy S5

According to Antutu, Samsung Galaxy S5 is a little bit disappointing based on the leaked technical specifications. Galaxy S5 based on the benchmarking result boasts 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974AC version System-on-Chip. MSM8974AC is the most powerful SoC among all Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series but it isn't the latest Snapdragon 805 chipset and unlikely to support 64-bit processing.

In addition, SM-G900F also features Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, 16 MP rear camera shooter that could be an ISOCELL unit, 2 MP front-facing camera and running Google's latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

Unfortunately, the mysterious and alleged Galaxy S5 smartphone boasts 1920 x 1080 screen display resolution instead of 2560 x 1440 QHD rumoured resolution. It is currently locked to 1080p for testing purposes as what Google did on Nexus 4's display resolution. There is no exact information yet if the screen is made up of Super AMOLED or PLS LCD that currently rumoured on Galaxy S5.

Exynos 6 Processor

Normally, Samsung uses Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered flagship smartphones for selected territories including the United States as the international variant uses Exynos chipsets. But a Galaxy S5 variant powered by the upcoming Exynos 6 octa-core 64-bit processor is expected to be released next year to match Apple's iPhone 5S power.

Additionally, Qualcomm's new 64-bit processor development may even lead to another variant of Galaxy S5 once the chipset maker finishes producing high-class processors with 64-bit support.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 805

It is slightly disappointing that the alleged Galaxy S5 doesn't boast the latest and more powerful Snapdragon 805 processor that features 2.5 GHz per core, memory bandwidth of up to 25.6 GB per second, ultra HD resolution, new Adreno 420 GPU, advanced 4K rendering, LTE Category 4 and improved battery life than Snapdragon 800.

Qualcomm's new high-class Snapdragon processor may appear on the rumoured Sony Xperia Z2 Avatar 2014 flagship smartphone, boasting higher pixel density and 4K video recording and a qualified match to Galaxy S5 as well.

Real or Fake Benchmark?

Since Antutu benchmark team said that they are almost sure regarding the mysterious and alleged Galaxy S5 smartphone, we can expect more leaks in the coming weeks before the official unveiling.

Benchmarking test results can be faked and confirming it is very difficult unless the team behind the tool defines what really took place during the test.
