Consumers can now find and purchase the Samsung Galaxy S5 on a $100-discount through Cricket Wireless. Samsung's latest flagship has been receiving price cuts across the globe with analysts believing the cuts and discounts are in preparation for a new stock coming: the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime.

The wireless network providerhas started offering a no-contract carrier option on Samsung's latest flagship. The company started offering the discount this June 27 with the phone priced around $450 following mail-in rebate. Cricket Wireless is a newly formed company under AT&T. The wireless provider also offers unlimited talk and text plan along with 500MB LTE data starting at $40 monthly.

According to a report by CNET, people who sign up under the Auto Pay option can also enjoy a $5-discount every month bringing down the plan cost to $35 monthly. The device offers the standard Samsung Galaxy S5 standard features only for less than $100. The device comes with Android 4.4 KitKat sporting a 5.-inch screen with 1080p Super AMOLED display. It also comes with 16MP primary camera and 16B internal memory.

With reports about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime surfacing, analysts believe the price cuts and new deals are not just about delivering something new to the table for retailers and providers. It may also be in preparation to stock a new item. According to reports including leaks from @evleaks, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will come with a snapdragon 805 and QHD display. Samsung already released a Samsung Galaxy LTE-A variant in South Korea leading many to believe it is the Prime but predictions and rumors continue to persist according to The Epoch Times. The continuous leads may mean Samsung is indeed preparing for a premium line.

In another report by the Wall Street Journal, Samsung announced that it will integrate its mobile security system with the upcoming version of the Android operating system. The move is to cater more to security conscious entities like government units and businesses. According to the report, Blackberry remains a top contender to which Samsung wants to challenge.
