Samsung's strong growth in the smartphone arena is one of the most impressive stories ever. It is worth noting that, within 25 days of its launch, the Galaxy S5 has shipped a staggering 10 million units across the world. This feat of Galaxy S5 trumps the Galaxy S4's sales numbers head on.

With the impressive sales figures, it is only natural that Samsung makes the most of the demand for their flagship handset. The company is planning to debut pink versions of the Galaxy S5 in Japan.

The pink variant of the Galaxy S5 targeting the Japanese mobile devices market is further bifurcated into two different shades of pink. That includes, "soft metallic rose" also known as "sweet pink" and "champagne pink," otherwise called as "warm shiny gold" color. Both the versions of the pink model of the Galaxy S5 will be available from the following operators, NTT DoCoMo and KDDI, according to BGR.

In addition to the color pink, the Galaxy S5 will also be available in the standard black (charcoal black) and white (shimmering white) colors in Japan.

According to GSMArena, the pink version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 can be purchased from today i.e. May 15, 2014. The report also says that the pink version of the smartphone will only be available for Japanese customers at this point in time.

Thus far, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is available across the globe in four different colors that include charcoal black, shimmery white, electric blue and amber gold. If the reports were true, the South Korean company might release several new color options in the future. Notably, this was the trend followed by Samsung even during the release of Galaxy S5's predecessors like the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S3.
