Samsung Galaxy S5 may pack a new feature called multi-party video calling system.

Samsung users may soon hold conference calls with their handsets, as new rumours suggest that the future Samsung Galaxy S5 will be packed with built-in conference calls capability with video support. This feature will allow video calling multiple persons.

This is backed up by a document filed to the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service showing the interface for such a feature and picked up by the Web site Galaxy Club. Based on the photos of the alleged feature, users may use the device's front and back cameras to make a video call. What is surprising is that the user may use both cameras at the same time when calling.

The said feature may also come as an update to the current ChatON feature of Samsung smartphones. This feature, which can be obtained through third party apps like Skype, already allows one-way conference calls.

Whether Samsung will be adding this multi-party video calling feature to make the Samsung Galaxy S5 or just provide it as an update would surely get it ahead in the smartphone race.

Last week, Samsung and ARM confirmed that they will soon launch a 14 nm 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU chips in 2014. The said processor will be packed in future Samsung smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4. The ARM official said that the new processor will be similar to iPhone 5S' 64-bit A7 CPU.

Some of the other most probable features to be packed on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 are 16 MP ISOCELL camera and 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD and 560 ppi resolution. On Samsung's annual Analyst Day, it announced that its smartphones arriving in 2015 will pack Ultra High Definition 4K displays. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also expected to pack the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS heralding new Android features.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is still unconfirmed, but rumours point to possible launch dates early next year, most probably in March. A number of tech events such as Consumers Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress will be talking place next year. Samsung has been an eager participant in tech events and introduces new devices on such events.
