Samsung Galaxy S5 may pack the same design of its brother Galaxy Note 3 and will feature a faux-leather casing.

Previous Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will include a metal chassis for its body and will ditch the conventional plastic casing used in previous generations of the Galaxy line.

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack a faux-leather casing to cover the plastic back, just like the recently launched 'Note 3′ and curved screen 'Galaxy Round'. Moreover, the faux-leather back of Galaxy S5 will be available in different colours aside from the usual colours of Black and White. The device will also be available in vibrant colours like Pink, Lime and Yellow variants.

According to the latest rumours, Samsung Galaxy S5 will include features such as 64-bit processor, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, fingerprint sensor and longer battery life.

Moreover, the device will be dustproof and water-resistant just like the rugged version of Samsung Galaxy S4. Samsung Galaxy S5 will most likely retain its camera but may improve the lens for better quality photos.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S5 may also include flexible displays; according to reports Samsung is testing out such screen displays. Samsung still has not revealed the details of its plans and roadmaps as well as the devices that are up on its sleeve for next year.

Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is still unconfirmed. There are rumours that the device will arrive as early as January and will probably make an appearance on the upcoming Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas to be held on 7-10 January.

There are also speculations that the device will be introduced at Mobile World Congress 2014 which has traditionally hosted the launch of Samsung devices. MWC 2014 will be held In Barcelona on 24-27 February.

Lastly, Samsung may follow the release date of the former Samsung Galaxy S4, which was released in March and was made available for purchase in April. Samsung Galaxy S5 will most probably be introduced in an elaborate unveiling event.
