Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, LG G2 and HTC One Android 4.4.3 Update Guide: Schedule and Installation
Android updates have always been carried out in several phases. This means that while other devices are already running on Android 4.4.4, there are still those in line to get the Android 4.4.3. This is the case for several Samsung, HTC, Motorola and LG products. Fortunately, it appears several devices from these companies will finally get the upgrade. These devices include the Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, LG G2 and other Nexus and HTC units.
Samsung always made it a point to upgrade its primary flagships faster than other units. However, this is not the case for Android 4.4.3 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S3 were reported to receive the update last June then July. If Samsung will not push for an August update, sources say that it might be a September roll out. Some networks have incorporated the Android 4.4.4 updates on their Android 4.4.3 like Motorola. If Samsung can do this then people can skip updates depending on the carrier.
LG G2 and LG G3 may not be as strong in terms of sales compared to Samsung handsets but they have considerable sales to merit monitoring their updates. Both devices run on Android 4.4.2. LG has kept mum about the update but Android Origin thinks that the Android 4.4.3 will still be a few weeks away with the Android L ready in a few months.
HTC made headlines before when it seemingly abandoned getting updates on its devices on time. Nonetheless, the Android 4.4.3 update has been released to Sprint and T-Mobile for HTC One M8 unlocked veriants. The HTC One M7 should follow suit.
As mentioned, Motorola has released the Android 4.4.3 update for Moto X and Moto G with incorporated Android 4.4.4 fixes. However, roll out still depends on carriers. According to reports, Moto E is also not yet confirmed to receive the Android L update unlike the first two mentioned.
