Samsung Galaxy S5 Leaks Continue to Surface: What Features and Specs to Expect?
Rumours about the launch and release date of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S5 is flooding the Internet recently. In fact, everyone has a say on what's the next Galaxy smartphone is going to be - its killer specs, features and a lot more.
Latest reports say that the release date of Samsung's soon-to-be flagship device will be between February and June next year. The Korean company aims to deliver earlier relative to the previous years and to beat the competition as well. Although there are no official announcements from Samsung about the Galaxy S5 plans just yet, some rumours suggest that the new Youm technology will be on the next Galaxy smartphone.
Aluminium external shell
There have been several critics about the use of cheap yet lightweight plastic in the Samsung smartphones. As for the Galaxy S5, Samsung is expected to finally drop this design and stick to a new aluminium device to remain competitive with Apple's iPhone 5s and the HTC One, which both feature metal designs.
According to Nowhereelse, the Galaxy S5 will have a metallic internal shell as a base. Nonetheless, these details could just be the internals of the Galaxy S5 and majority of the design and outer shell will be plastic just the same plus the removable battery and back - a design which is previously seen already. Moreover, the Web site mentioned that the camera and the flash, similar to iPhones, are moved to the top corner of the device which is unlikely to happen.
Curved display
With the latest Samsung cutting edge technology, Youm, the Galaxy S5 is rumoured to have a curved display, which is similar to the recently launched Galaxy Round. However, a couple of reports say that the curved screen technology will be gradually introduced to the market, rather than being incorporated to the next Samsung flagship device.
16 MP, 64-bit quad-core processor etc.
As further mentioned on the leak reports from a Samsung subcontractor, the Galaxy S5 will be 5.2 in with its chassis that is a few millimetres wider and taller than its predecessor - the Galaxy S4.
As of the moment, rumours about the Galaxy S5 having a 16 MP camera and a 64-bit quad-core processor have been really hot. But then again, until we see more leaks or better yet an official announcement from Samsung itself, nothing is certain just yet.
