Eye Scanning Technology for Samsung Galaxy S5

News already pinpointed the launching date of the upcoming 2014 flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S5, but no one knows what the exact technical specifications of the device are.

Early rumours indicate a fingerprint sensor coming on the Galaxy S5 to increase security and match Apple's version on the iPhone 5S. However, a new rumour revealed that the company is taking security measures to the next level compared with fingerprint scanning.

According to the sources of AndroidSaS and Korean reports, the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone will boast the first Eye-Scanning technology with unlocking capability on a mobile device. Owners of the Galaxy S5 can now unlock their smartphone by simply gazing at it while the device scans their eyes.

Rumours are saying that Samsung has already started working on this type of sensor which will be used on Galaxy S5 to give users a different kind of protection on their smartphone. As of now, there has been no confirmed information yet as to how the eye-scanning sensor works, but Samsung seems solid on taking security measure to the next level compared to what HTC and Apple did on their devices which are subject of fingerprint lock bypass.

Eye scanning technology will put the Galaxy S5 right on the block in terms of next level security protection, which is something the Galaxy S3 and S4 didn't sport. In addition, the Galaxy S5 may also feature premium material components, super-speed processor and RAM, low-power-consuming hardware and bigger battery capacity which will make the ultimate smartphone of 2014.

Probability on Samsung Galaxy Note 4

If Samsung gained success on the eye-scanning feature by ditching the fingerprint sensor, the Galaxy Note 4 in 2014 may also get an improved version of the technology. Galaxy Note phablets always boast premium features and applications which are not found in almost all kinds of devices in the market.

Its powerful S Pen can be used to navigate, edit, create and do almost anything with access to hidden software installed by Samsung. Imagine a very intelligent Galaxy Note 4 capable of scanning your eyes, performing Voice Commands and accomplishing tasks without your finger actually touch its display screen.

Samsung hasn't confirmed anything yet regarding its eye-scanning technology or something which may level up security protection. Right now, the company installed Knox Security Suite for the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 via Android 4.3 update.
