Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 release date is set on the second quarter of 2014, according to a renowned tech industry tipster.

Eldar Murtazin debunked earlier rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released in the first quarter of this year via Twitter and said that the device will arrive in April of 2014. He also said that the Galaxy Note 4 may be released earlier than usual.

Earlier speculations claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will show up at the Mobile World Congress in February, which is 2 months earlier than Samsung's schedule. However, his predictions should be treated with a grain of salt since the analyst has a hit and miss track record. Until now, Samsung has not announced yet the concrete release date of the device.

According to the Japanese publication EMSOnes, the Samsung Galaxy S5 may pack a metal build ditching the Galaxy S line's plastic case, as Samsung has reportedly secured suppliers for the cases. The report states that Catcher Technologies, a Taiwanese company who made Apple's iPad casing, will make the metal cases for Samsung.

Catcher Technology is expected to produce around 10 to 30 million units, with reports suggesting that Samsung will receive initial shipments later this month. In addition, reports also state that Samsung secured Chinese company BYD and Taiwanese company Jo Teng as secondary suppliers.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the highly anticipated smartphones next year, as its rumoured specs and features attract attention of consumers. The latest reports claimed that the Galaxy S5 may not be an Android smartphone after all and may pack a different operating system, although waiting fans are hoping to see the device running with Android 4.4.1 KitKat OS. Reports said that the Galaxy S5 may pack a combination of Tizen OS and Firefox OS.

Another feature that may be coming to the Galaxy S5 is the 64-bit processor, which was confirmed by Samsung and ARM last week. This is also what Samsung exec JK Shin said in his statement last September. Consumers can also expect 16 MP ISOCELL camera and 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD and 560 ppi resolution and a long lasting 4,000 mAh battery life.
