Samsung Galaxy S5 release date may be on Consumers Electronics Show next month alongside Galaxy Tab 3 Lite.

Samsung is preparing to unveil its high-end smartphone along with its cheapest tablet next year at the CES 2014. Samsung is a regular participant of tech events like CES and MWC. Samsung seemed to be releasing another variant of Galaxy Tab 3 cheaper than the original device to compete with Nexus and Apple tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 was released in two variants, one with 7-inch screen display and the other with 8-inch screen size. Earlier in the week, Sam Mobile reported that Samsung will be launching an affordable tablet device.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is set for release either in CES or MWC events next year. The device will probably be the cheapest device made by Samsung. The tablet will probably pack almost the same specs as the original tablet but with trimmed features. The Galaxy Tab 3 will come in both 3G and Wi-Fi variants, according to Sam Mobile.

Moreover, the WiFi variant in cream white option will hit the market around second week of 2014. Samsung has plans to launch the device in 3G variant in third week of January, followed by the introduction of black color option.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is still unconfirmed but rumors noted that the possible launch date will be early next year. This coincides with the new rumors that the next flagship smartphone of Samsung will be released at CES or MWC events. However, other reports said the device is bound to arrive in the second half of 2014.

Reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack 64-bit processor as Samsung and ARM confirmed that it will soon launch a 14nm 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU chips in 2014. Other features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 are 16MP ISOCELL camera and 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD and 560 ppi resolution. The handset may also come with a long-lasting 4,000 mAh battery life.

It is still undetermined if Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack Android 4.4 Kitkat OS or the rumored combination of Tizen OS and Firefox OS. Reports added Samsung is engaging in a working relationship with the makers of the operating systems.
