Samsung Galaxy S5 release date may happen either at CES or MWC events next year, according to latest reports.

Samsung has not confirmed yet the concrete release date of Samsung Galaxy S5. However, reports said that the handset will arrive early next year. Galaxy S5 will be released in January and will be introduced at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) or Mobile World Congress (MWC) with other Samsung devices. These events give Samsung ample time to prepare as well as enough media exposure to the devices.

ETNews reported that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released with other smartphones, including Galaxy Note 3 Lite, Galaxy Grand Lite as well as Galaxy Tab 3 Lite early next year. In line with that, latest rumours claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite entered mass production. The device is reportedly to pack some of the specs of the Galaxy Note 3 with tamed features. Moreover, one or two entry-level handsets will also be announced before Q1 is over.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is rumoured to pack a 14nm 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU as Samsung and ARM confirmed that it will launched such processor next year. Consumers can also expect 16MP ISOCELL camera and larger screen display with 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD and 560 ppi resolution. With the aforementioned power hugging features, it is expected that Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack 4,000 mAh battery life.

Samsung's next flagship phone may pack a different operating system and is rumoured to ditch Google's Android. The handset may pack a combination of Tizen OS and Firefox OS. Samsung's Chief Secretary Wonsuk Lee said that Samsung is working on its relationship with the makers of the aforementioned operating systems. However, consumers are hoping that they will see the new Android 4.4 Kitkat OS in the upcoming handset.

Lastly, Samsung Galaxy S5 may also pack a metal casing since the company already embraced metallic body when it released the Samsung Galaxy J in Taiwan last week. Moreover, Samsung is reportedly to receive metal cases from Taiwanese company Catcher Technologies, which produced the iPad metal casing. Samsung will secure around 10 to 30 million units later this month.
