Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Coming Sooner than Later, Analysts Say
A Korean publication reported that the next Samsung flagship smartphone on Android 4.4 KitKat will be coming earlier than the Galaxy S4's first birthday.
The successor to the very successful Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to be a more powerful smartphone Galaxy S5. It is rumoured to sport flexible materials with killer specs and features, not to mention that it could be introduced only 10 months after the Galaxy S4 is unveiled earlier this year.
As mentioned by the Korean Web site, "industry sources" say that the Korean tech giant will start the production of the Galaxy S5 in Jan. Consequently, the release date of the Samsung flagship device will be as early as Feb. or March next year. The Galaxy S5 is rumoured to be running on the Android 4.4 KitKat and will be launched alongside the enhanced Galaxy Gear 2 watch. The predicted dates are a couple of months ahead than the first year anniversary of the current Samsung's flagship device, the Galaxy S4.
Although the report has a dash of wishful thinking, Samsung has undoubtedly the ability to manufacture a new device on such a massive scale as quickly as it desires. Also, it is possible that the Korean monolith will cannibalise the sales of its other smartphones, the Galaxy S4 included.

According to the same report, the next Samsung flagship smartphone plausibly will come in a plastic cover or a premium metal body like the HTC One and the Apple iPhone 5s. Rumours say that it will be packed with killer features and specs which include a 3 GB RAM, 64-bit processor, 16 MP camera, 4,000 mAh battery and 5 in flexible display.
Currently, there are no official statements about the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date from Samsung just yet. Samsung is not known to make early reports about the release dates of their devices to steer away from disappointed fans. But if the rumours are to be believed, then Galaxy S4 owners will surely be disappointed as the flagship smartphone they purchased early this year will be will changed by the next generation Galaxy smartphone in less than a year.
