Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is expected to happen in the first quarter of 2014 along with some low-end smartphones.

ETNews reported that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released with other smartphones, including Galaxy Note 3 Lite and Galaxy Grand Lite early next year. Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is still unconfirmed with rumors claiming the possible launch date will be early next year. Other reports noted the device is bound to arrive in the second half of 2014. Moreover, one or two entry-level handsets will also be announced before Q1 is over.

In other reports, Samsung Galaxy S5 is set for release in January and will be introduced at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) or Mobile World Congress (MWC) by early next year although this has not yet confirmed. Blogger Eldar Murtazin said Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released in the first quarter of this year via Twitter and noted the device will arrive in April of 2014.

Rumors claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack 64-bit processor as Samsung and ARM confirmed that it will soon launch a 14nm 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU chips in 2014. Consunmers may also expect 16 MP ISOCELL rear camera and a screen display with 2,560 x 1440 pixel resolution from the upcoming device. Due to power-hogging features mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S5 may pack an equally powerful 4,000 mAh battery. It is still unconfirmed whether Samsung Galaxy S5 will bring the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat OS as there are reports that it may pack a combination of Tizen OS and Firefox OS ditching Android's software.

Samsung Galaxy S5 may also pack a metal casing like the recently released Samsung Galaxy J in Taiwan. It is not impossible that Samsung Galaxy S5 to pack a metal build since it is already introduced in other Samsung handsets. Moreover, Samsung is reportedly secured suppliers for the cases. A metal built for the upcoming smartphone is highly anticipated as previous reports claimed Samsung will receive metal cases from Taiwanese company, Catcher Technologies, later this month.
