South Korean tech giant Samsung may release a new smartphone line - Samsung Galaxy F series as the successor of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

According to rumours, the Galaxy S series may be put to rest and will be replaced by a new premium series called the Galaxy F. However, this rumour is still unconfirmed. Right now, rumours about the Galaxy S5 is making the rounds. This device could also be the first smartphone under the Galaxy F series.

Latest rumours claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 feature will include the 64-bit processor as it is on the final stage of production, according to Korean news media Daum, reports Android Authority.

Samsung's CEO, JK Shin, said that the company will bring 64-bit processors to the market next year but cautions that this may not come "in the shortest time." Android Authority, thus, speculates that Samsung may feature the new processor on the Note 4 rather than the Galaxy S5.

The same report also claimed that Android OS will support 64-bit processors next year as well. The presentation from Intel's Developer Forum event last week suggested that Android 4.4. KitKat will support such processor.

Thus, we can expect that Samsung Galaxy S5 will run with the soon-to-be-released Android 4.4 KitKat. However, other reports claimed that Samsung is in the process of developing its own operating system to lessen its dependency to Google's Android. Samsung Galaxy S5 may come with this new mobile software.

According to rumours, Samsung Galaxy S5 features will include a larger screen display that will use Sharp's new IGZO screen technology. The device will also include 4K resolution that will allow users to play videos beyond Full HD resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is rumoured to happen in March next year, marking the first birthday of the Galaxy S4.
