Samsung Galaxy S5 release date may coincide with the iPhone 6 launch in March of 2014.

The first quarter of next year may be full of action if Samsung and Apple will engage in another smartphone battle with the introduction of Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPhone 6.

Samsung Galaxy S5 will most probably be released in March since t will mark the first birthday of the Galaxy S4. Rumours say that Apple will release another handset by the first quarter of next year although it recently released the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

The successor of Samsung Galaxy S4 is set for release next year but five months before the alleged release, rumours are already spreading all over the internet. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to include high end features that will make other smartphones bite the dust.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is rumoured to include features like an even larger screen display using Sharp's new IGZO screen technology and 4K video resolution that will allow the handset to play videos beyond Full HD. Like the iPhone 5S, the Galaxy S5 will come with the faster 64-bit processor.

Reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with Samsung's Tizen OS. It seems that Samsung will build its own operating system that will work like Apple's iOS to lessen its dependency to Google's Android. However, other reports stated that Samsung Galaxy S5 will run with Android 4.4 KitKat.

On September 10, Apple released the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. The two new smartphones are currently on sale but rumours of the iPhone 6 are already spreading like wildfire.

iPhone 6, on the other hand, is speculated to be Apple's phablet sporting a 5-inch Full HD screen display; 64-bit A7 processor and M7 chip; a 12MP rear camera; NFC; fingerprint sensor; internal storage of up to 128GB and iOS 7.

However, both tech companies have not confirmed the rumours yet.
