Samsung Galaxy S5 release date may be soon as some of the alleged features of the device are ready, according to reports.

Reports said that Samsung will be ready with the Exynos 5 chipset for the Galaxy S5. This supported previous reports that Samsung's new Exynos 6 chipset is in the final stages of development. The Samsung Exynos 6 chipset is expected to be the first true octa-core processor from the company that will turn the tables for Samsung. According to some Korean media outlets, the chipset is almost ready, adding that the company is 'almost done.'

Another feature of Samsung Galaxy S5 that is ready is its casing. Latest reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a plastic casing, contradicting previous reports that the device will have either a metal or faux leather case.

Preparing the features this early signalled the early release of the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S series. However, other reports said that Samsung Galaxy S5 may have a slightly delayed release date as Samsung Galaxy S4 has been selling very well.

Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is still unconfirmed and there are a lot of speculations as to when the South Korean tech giant will release its 2014 flagship smartphone. There are rumours that the device will arrive as early as January and will probably make an appearance on the upcoming Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas to be held on January 7 to 10.

There are also speculations that the device will be introduced at Mobile World Congress 2014 event where a lot of Samsung devices appeared. MWC 2014 will be held on February 24 to 27 in Barcelona, Spain.
