A new Samsung Galaxy S5 render has shown off a curved, edge-to-edge screen display and the leaked TouchWiz UI.

The new Galaxy S5 concept image was submitted by Phoenix Pham to Concept-Phones. The screen extends from side to side. The creation includes some specs and features based on the leaked patents of the device.

Based from the photos, the handset also packs the leaked TouchWiz UI. Under the hood, the 2.5 GHz Snapdragon processor has probably the Snapdragon 805 chipset. The handset will also pack a 20 megapixel ISOCELL camera at the back capable of 4K video recording. The smartphone will have an Iris scanner, thanks to the front camera.

According to Phoenix Pham, the Galaxy S5 concept is dustproof and waterproof and will be encased in a metal casing.

Early this week, SamMobile cited a Samsung insider who confirmed some of the features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5. The handset will come with a 2K display and 16 MP back camera. The smartphone will also come in two variants: one with metal casing and the other with a plastic body.

The insider said the Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack an AMOLED screen display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel although he did not confirm the screen size. As for the camera, Galaxy S5 will be equipped with 16 megapixel camera at the back and may skip optical image stabilization (OIS).

Samsung Galaxy S5 will come in two models that reminded many people of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. However, it is unconfirmed whether the Galaxy S5 with metal casing will be Samsung's new premium line: Galaxy F.

The new handset may also include an octo-core Exynos 6 chipset or a Snapdragon 805 SoC for the 4G/LTE variant. The handset is also expected to run with Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is reported in April. The insider also verified that Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy S5 Zoom are coming after the launch of Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 Mini will be introduced in June, while the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom will arrive in May.
