Samsung had just slammed selfie sticks by calling their users “cave people.” This callout was mentioned in the Korean tech giant’s latest advertisement – as posted on iSpot TV – which focused on the wide selfie capability of its devices.

“This is what it has come to,” the voice over in the video said. “Human sardines packing into tiny frames, carrying around sticks like cave people.”

Apparently, the video was purposely made to market the premium camera that is featured in the company’s latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. They can take remarkable selfies with wide coverage even without the stick.

Phone Arena had reportedly conducted a blind test to compare the cameras of the Galaxy S6 and the Apple iPhone 6. Since it was a blind test, those who took part in the experiment had to choose which photos were better without knowing which smartphone camera was used to take it, according to Tech Times.

Based on the results of the test, Galaxy S6 beat the iPhone 6 by a landslide by winning 27,063 votes, as compared to the iPhone 6’s 3,033 votes. In some results, the differences between the photos were pretty subtle. However, for others, it was very apparent that the Galaxy S6 group generated much better images. In fact, it won in all six scenes – the sixth featuring bottles.

This sixth photograph seemed to indicate the most significant difference. With the iPhone 6, the bottles on the wall were not easily distinguishable. But, with the Galaxy S6, the lighting was properly distributed and captured the item in very good detail. Zoomed-in images that were taken with the Galaxy S6 were also much better than Apple’s entry.

That said, it has been concluded that Samsung has beaten Apple – at least when it comes to the camera department.
