Samsung Galaxy S6 Vs iPhone 6 Gaming Showdown: Which Smartphone Is Superior
Samsung and Apple have always competed especially in the smartphone market. As one of the most famous rivalries in tech, it should be no surprise that their current flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Apple iPhone 6, are always compared against each other. This time, the comparison stretches to their gaming capabilities. Which is better?
Smartphones are often compared based on their display, resolution and build. Nonetheless, their gaming capabilities can be just as important especially for those who consider their devices as part of their recreational system. In a recent look at the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6, both devices have been compared in relation to several gaming options like GTA San Andreas gaming, Kill Shot, Marvel: Contest of Champions, Boom Beach, Asphalt 8, Real Racing 3 and Monument Valley among others.
To understand the base comparison, key specs for the devices are as follows:
· Samsung Galaxy S6: 5.1-inch display with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440, Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (4 cores at 2.1GHz and 4 at 1.5GHz) with Mali-T760MP8 graphics and 3GB RAM
· Apple iPhone 6: 4.7-inch display with resolution of 1334 x 750, 1.4GHz Apple A8 dual-core processor with PowerVR GR6450 quad-core GPU and 1GB RAM
According to the overall evaluation: “The iPhone 6 tended to run games more smoothly, with a higher average frame rate that was very stable and rarely dropped below 30fps. The Galaxy S6 came a pretty close second, with a greater frequency of performance bottlenecks that pushed the framerate below the 30fps threshold.” To see the full chart, click here.
