The Samsung Galaxy S7 has been on sale for over six months now and it’s doing fine. Apple has also unveiled the iPhone 7 with some major changes to its flagship. It has been well-received. The two tech giants have always clashed head-to-head with their awe-inspiring products and have managed to secure a fan following.
When it comes to specs and features comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Apple iPhone 7 sport some high-end specs and wow consumers with advanced features.
While the Galaxy S7 has an aluminium body panel, front and back glass panels and IP68 water and dust-proof design with 1.5m submersion for up to 30 minutes, the iPhone 7 also has an aluminium chassis with IP67 water and dust-proof design with 1m submersion for up to 30 minutes, writes Mobile & Apps.
The Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch screen, 1440X2560 pixels resolution and Super AMOLED display. The iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch screen, 750x1334 pixels resolution and LED-backlit IPS LCD 3D Touch display.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, comes in 32GB/64GB storage variants with microSD storage supporting up to 256GB, 4GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820/Exynos 8890 Octa chipset and 3,000 mAh battery.
The Apple iPhone 7 runs on iOS 10.0.1 that is upgradable to iOS 10.0.2, comes in 32/128/256GB storage variants with no microSD slot, 2GB RAM, Apple A10 Fusion processor and 1,960 mAh battery.
The graphics processor options in Samsung Galaxy S7 include Adreno 530/ Mali-T880 MP12 whereas the Apple iPhone 7 has six-core graphics.
The Galaxy S7 has a 12MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, OIS and LED flash and 5MP front camera with dual video call and Auto HDR functions. Other features include geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, Auto HDR and panorama.

Samsung Australia is offering the Galaxy S7 for $1,149 whereas Apple Australia makes the iPhone 7 32GB silver variant available for $1,079.
