Samsung Galaxy S8 accessories to reportedly include S Pen and wireless Level In ANC headphones
As the launch of the Galaxy S8 draws nearer, more and more titbits about Samsung’s next flagship keep popping up. While it is only normal that a handful of accessories both free and sold will be released alongside the Galaxy S8, an insider says that the South Korean tech giant is adding yet another sweetener to its upcoming flagship.
Roland Quandt tweeted on Monday (see tweet below) that Samsung is set to release new Level In active noise-cancelling wireless headphones alongside the Galaxy S8. The headphones are supposedly going to come in four different colours: black, green, red and silver. A pair would reportedly cost about €130 (AU$184).
The Level In headphones add up to what is already a long list of Galaxy S8 accessories that Samsung is reportedly planning to launch together with its new flagship. According to previous reports, the company is set to launch special screen protectors and protective cases aside from its standard run-of-the-mill accessories. Aside from the Galaxy S8’s Clear View Cover, Keyboard Cover and LED View Cover case, Samsung is also expected to release a premium Protective Cover made of Alcantara leather, which is typically seen on luxurious interiors of expensive cars.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is also reportedly going to include a 2,600mAh battery pack in its official list of accessories for users who need on-the-go-charging. Also said to be included is a multimedia dock with connectivity enhancements. Lots of third-party accessories are likely to pop up along with the Galaxy S8’s launch as well, so scarcity is never going to be a problem.
The Galaxy S8 may also feature an S Pen stylus, an accessory that has never been associated with previous Galaxy S series handsets as it has always been exclusive to the Note series devices. This may be Samsung’s way of filling the void left by the Galaxy Note 7. The rumoured 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 variant is reportedly going to equip the S Pen as an external accessory.
Previous reports also indicate that the upcoming Galaxy S8 may furnish the Y-OCTA display technology that was initially utilised on the Galaxy Note 7. The S8 may even wind up using the same Super AMOLED QHD resolution display panels that the now-defunct Note 7 had. The Samsung Galaxy S8, which was originally projected to have a February launch at this year’s Mobile World congress (MWC 2017), is now reportedly set for a March 29 unveiling in New York.
