Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Australia variant may have Exynos chipset; Leak reveals interesting specs
The full spec sheet of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus flagship has been leaked. The leak has confirmed the smartphone’s massive screen and all the specs it is coming with. Known tipster Evan Blass has shared an image of the spec sheet of the device on his Twitter account. Thanks to him, fans now have most of the specs of Samsung's flagship phone for the first half of this year. Needless to say, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are highly-anticipated phones of this year, if not the most-anticipated.
According to Gizmodo, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone will have a phenomenal 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display. It’s a huge screen, about 0.7 inches larger than Galaxy S7 Edge’s 5.5-inch screen. The leaked spec sheet also shows a Quad HD+ Display, which means, the resolution will be higher than the existing 2,560 x 1,440 pixels AMOLED panels. Experts are divided in their opinion as to the screen resolution the Galaxy S8 Plus will sport. Some believe, it will have 3,200 x 1,800 pixel display with a regular 16:9 widescreen ratio or an LG G6-like 18:9 aspect ratio with 2,880 x 1,440 pixels screen resolution.
The various specs of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, as revealed by Blass, are 4G LTE Capability, 12MP dual-pixel primary camera, 8MP front camera, IP68 certification, making it dust and water resistant, Iris Scanner, Samsung Knox, 64GB internal storage with support for external microSD card sold separately, 4GB RAM, Samsung Pay, wireless charging, Android OS and AKG-tuned earphones. Blass also tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship will be the first phone to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.
The chip uses the latest 10-nanometre production process and is much more energy-efficient and powerful than its predecessors. However, in Australia, the Galaxy S8 could be released with a Samsung-built Exynos 8895 processor. This chip too is built on the 10nm architecture and is pretty powerful. The South-Korean tech giant will reportedly unveil the devices late March and the phones will go on sale likely from mid-April. Meanwhile, the company is expected to unveil its Galaxy Tab S3 at the MWC 2017 event.
Experts believe that the tablet will aim at productivity. Moreover, new photos of the tab have been leaked yet again offering new clues. The leaks suggest that apart from its ability to dock with a keyboard, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will also come with a highly-advanced stylus. In fact, the leaked image of the stylus looks frightening similar to the Microsoft Surface Pen.
