Samsung Galaxy S8 poised to deliver company's comeback with new front camera system

According to Korean news site ETNews, the Galaxy S8 will become the world's ultimate selfie phone. The front-facing camera of the unit will debut an autofocus feature that is sure to give selfie photos more detail than ever before. This will not be a first for the smartphone market as a whole, but Samsung’s spin on the technology is expected to wow the public.
“People are starting to take more selfies and number of demands for cameras that take selfies with higher qualities is increasing,” a source told the publication. “It is heard that Samsung Electronics has decided to install front actuators for Galaxy S8 in order to differentiate its flagship Smartphone.”
Up until this point, Samsung has been relying on the more standard fixed focus type of front cameras. The publication goes on to say that the Korean tech giant has kept up in the industry because it was able to make camera modules that were smaller and cheaper than its competitors. Despite this, however, the company has made a name for itself because of their camera systems.
The new photo system is likely not to be the only feature that Samsung will improve on. Following the issues with the Galaxy Note 7 devices, the Korean company is definitely not going to hold back with its upcoming flagship. The Galaxy S8 is expected to be officially announced in the early months of 2017.
