Apart from the Google Nexus 7, the Samsung Galaxy Tab line-up is one of the most popular Android tablets in the market today. New reports suggested that Samsung is concentrating on baking its cheap tablets line.

The Galaxy Tab 3 is not considered a high-end tablet with its mediocre specs and features, and the Jurassic version of Android operating system. According to Gotta Be Mobile, things can even get worse next year if the recent rumors are true. Samsung is preparing to launch a Galaxy Tab 3 Lite along with the Galaxy Note 3 Lite at the annual CES in January 2014. Leaks on its specs and features have been all over the Internet. It is safe to say that the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is more of the low-end tablet for the budget-conscious crowd.

With this move, Samsung is pretty clear that it wants to take its tablet line in two directions. One is to create a tablet line that is budget-friendly to cater to its fans and at the same time providing high-end tablet line with its Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 8.

Don't expect killer specs and features from this Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. There is no way it will compete with Google's Nexus 7 with its 2012 specs and outdated Android OS.

Gotta Be Mobile added the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will not offer something new to our plates with its 7-inch 1024 x 600 low resolution display, 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1GB of RAM. Its Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS is already two generations late as Google is already running Android 4.4 KitKat on its present devices.

Also, the tablet comes with 8 GB internal storage and 3 MP sensor camera. Currently, the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch starts at $199 while the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is rumored at $129 range.
