Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 release date, news & update: Device could be unveiled along with Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017
If latest reports are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 could be released in Q1 of 2017. The much-anticipated device failed to make an appearance in September, proving all rumours false but now enthusiasts believe that the device will be released in 2017.
Whether there is any truth to these rumours is hard to know as Samsung has not released any official statement on the same. Not much is confirmed regarding the specs and features of the device. As Tech Radar reported back in October, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be very similar to its predecessor.
As per a Sam Mobile report, the two model numbers of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, SM-T820 and SM-T825, indicated a LTE and Wi-Fi only model. The Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone is also expected to debut during the MWC 2017 in late February. It will be interesting to see whether Samsung releases such premium devices consecutively.
Fans will be in for a treat as the 2017 calendar for Samsung already looks packed. Samsung may unveil its next generation devices at the MWC 2017 and then release them in March. As regards the specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, not much has been revealed.
The Galaxy TabPro S was released in spring and it was Samsung’s first attempt at a 2-in-1 tablet/laptop combo running on Windows 10. The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to feature a Home button below the screen. Although the colour variants are not known, the Tab S3 will have a 4:3 display and its back will be made of plastic.
As per NEUROGADGET, the Galaxy Tab S3 could have an 8-inch display as well as larger 9.7-inch one. AMOLED technology will be used and it will have a screen resolution of 1536X2048 pixels. Early rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 suggested that the tablet will have an 8MP primary and 2MP secondary camera.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB RAM and 4,000mAh battery is expected in the device. The larger tablet may sport a 5,870mAh battery.
