South Korea-based Samsung is on a roll as it expands its horizon beyond Google's Android operating system. It teased everyone with a photo of a Windows 8 tablet that could mean that the company may soon discard its current mobile operating software.

Samsung showed a photo of a Windows 8 tablet on their Facebook page with a caption, "Don't worry, it's just around the corner." The device will be presented in the upcoming IFA 2012 event in Berlin, Germany that will commence later this week.

The photo suggests that it will have a detachable keyboard. At the bottom of the photo, sSamsung included "IFA 2012," a consumer electronics trade show that starts on Friday and goes through September 5.

According to some tech websites, the tablet looked like the Series 5, which Samsung unveiled in a glass case at a June computer expo in Taiwan. The tech company is expected to formally introduce the tablet and all of its features at the upcoming tech trade show in Germany.

According to CNET, the Series 5 will reportedly run a full version of Windows 8 OS. It will also include an Intel chip, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera and have a battery life of 10 hours. The Verge claimed that the Series 5 will have a full 11-inch screen display.

For years, Samsung have been powering their devices with Android software by Google. Although this is the first time that Samsung will equip a device with Windows OS, many are speculating if the Korea-based tech giant will shift its main devices to be powered by Windows.

Samsung posted a video teasing a gadget, which many believe is also the Series 5, last week. Watch the video below for the first look of the rumored Series 5.
