South Korean tech giant Samsung is rumoured to release a cheaper version of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

According to South Korean news publication ETNews, a model of the upcoming phablet will be released in the "emerging markets" containing an LCD display and an 8 megapixels rear camera. Thus, the handset will be sold at a cheaper price. This is in contrast with the rumours that the phablet will feature a flexible display and 13MP back camera.

It is reported that the device could be $100 cheaper than the official version of Note 3. The phablet is speculated to be released in specific markets such as in Africa and Middle East as well as other countries in Asia. ETNews also said that 30% of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in production will be this variant.

However, this is not a remote possibility since Samsung kept in reaching different sectors of the market by offering a wide array of devices. Moreover, we have seen Samsung launched different versions of its flagship smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one of the most anticipated smartphones this year and it is expected to offer high end and top of the line specs and features.

According to rumours, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will feature a 5.7 inch Full HD Display; 13MP of rear camera and 3MP front camera; 3,450mAh battery; a quad-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, and 3GB of RAM; Android 4.3 Jelly Bean; S-Pen and TouchWiz UI.

According to a previous report of Samsung-centric Web site SamMobile, pre-orders of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will commence on September 4 and shipping will commence on September 8 to 10.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will most likely follow the previous pricing strategy of Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Therefore, the device may cost over $800 for the unlocked version. However, carriers will definitely offer the device at a much cheaper price under a two-year contract.

However, Samsung is tight-lipped with the details of the launch event. Consumers just have to wait and see.
