An announcement has been made that Samsung will be the world's first company to allow switching modes between TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE mode.

Previous handsets, like the dual-mode ZTE Grand Era, have required a reboot before users can switch over to a different LTE standard. But Samsung appears to have solved this issue, and will be implementing its seamless handover technology in its upcoming dual-mode LTE versions of the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini.

Samsung currently has not let one as to when these handset variants will be available in the market, but the press release mentions the US, China, Australia, Middle East, Northern and Eastern Europe, and Southwest Asia, so expect the handsets to be easy to come by when they finally arrive on our shelves.
