Samsung SM-T700 and SM-T805 Appearing on GFXBench and FCC Could Be Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Tab 4
Samsung has produced just about every type of tablet imaginable. As the Korean tech giant continues to explore different types of slates, two new models have shown up on GFXBench and FCC. According to recent information from Ubergizmo, the two table variants may be the next Galaxy Tab 4 or another Note. While there are no announcements yet from Samsung, it appears the tablets are well on their way. What can people expect?
Samsung's tablets target entry, mid-range and high-end markets. Recently, an FCC filing of a tablet with model number SM-T805 showed up. The same model has been spotted on a UAProf listing, as spotted by Ubergizmo. According to the report, the device offers a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Looking at specs of the device, it may be sold off as a high-end Galaxy Tab device, according to analysts. It will also reportedly come with a 10.5" AMOLED display. Not just that, the FCC sighting also revealed that another Samsung tablet might be in the works with tablet model number SM-T801.
Knowing Samsung, industry watchers and observers are guessing the SM-T801 model will probably be a variant of the SM-T805. There is also a chance that the Korean tech giant will release a smaller version of the Galaxy Tab 4.0. Notorious tipser, @evleaks, also reported about the sighting.
As mentioned, apart from the SM-T805 model, another tablet appeared on the GFXBench database. The sighting revealed a tablet with model number SM-T700. The device features an 8.4-inch display offering 2,560 x 1,600 similar to the SM-T805. Looking at the display and resolution, the device will also provide a pixel density of 359 ppi. This is comparatively impressive based on Samsung's previous offerings. Apple's iPad Mini with Retina Display offers 324 ppi for pixel density.
If Samsung can pull this off, then the company will have a tablet with better viewing experience than Apple's iPad Retina. There are no final announcements yet from Samsung whether the latest tablet sighting will be the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung just released its Tab Pro series, and it appears the company will not slow down with its slate releases. The company's flagship phone, Samsung Galaxy S5, will come out April 11.
