Samsung and Swarovski Team Up for Crystal Covered Galaxy S5; Samsung Galaxy “Prime” on the Brew?
You got the love for bling? It's now on Samsung's present "Big Thing!"
Samsung Electronics, maker of the one of 2014's hottest gadget, Samsung Galaxy 5, debuts its sparkly device in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week back in February. The limited edition of the phone maker's new flagship is called the "Crystal Collection" presenting the Galaxy 5's with a "shining, shimmering" back cover.
Following the footsteps of Apple's iPhone that previously sported a series of diamond-encrusted devices, and HTC that featured a golden chassis for its HTC One, Samsung seems to take the "jewelled device" feature seriously by collaborating with the popular crystal jewellery maker Swarovski.
"At Samsung, we embrace the creativity of fashion and enable it through our technology. Together with Swarovski, we're celebrating that creativity with a specially-designed backstage lounge and a limited-edition custom cover for one of our latest smartphones during this season's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week." A statement Executive VP for Samsung Young Hee Lee in a press release presented by Business Wire.
However, it is not only the Samsung Galaxy S5 to receive the sparkly boost, a limited-edition Swarovski cover is also launched for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which will be offered in 3 fashionable colours.
The "Crystal Collection" is reported to reach the market in May according to the promotional video posted on YouTube.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 announced in February, reached the mobile market in April 2014. The much talked device contained powerful features running with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System with a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor. The primary camera is designed to impress with 16 MP, also allowing touch focus and face detection. The display is a pleaser too sporting a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen in 16M colours.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime Coming Up?
However, Samsung is far from being done upon the launch of its newest Galaxy 5. While some users would be thinking of getting the Swarovski limited version of the phone, the new rumour of an upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 "Prime" may lit a new excitement among other Samsung Galaxy fans who may decide to wait for the "Prime" edition to buy a new device.
The new Galaxy "Prime" is speculated to be introduced in June.
