New reports suggest that Samsung will deliver new large-screen Key Lime Pie devices that are separate from the hotly anticipated Galaxy Note 3.

According to Blog of Mobile, Samsung is launching tablet-smartphone hybrid that is tentatively labelled Galaxy Fonblet. The same report provided the following model numbers - GT-I9200, GT-I9208 and GT-I9205 - which purportedly refers to the different variants of the new Galaxy device.

The gadget reportedly differs from the Galaxy Note 3 because it is essentially designed as a mini-tablet that functions too as a smartphone. Conversely, the Note 3 and its previous iterations mainly act as a mobile phone but are able to deliver tablet-like functions.

It is possible that the Galaxy Fonblet and the Galaxy Note 3 are two different gadget but it is likely too that Samsung is fusing the functions and features of the two devices to deliver an end-product that comes in two screen sizes - 5.9-inch and 6.3-inch, blog reports said.

The smaller screen sustains the phablet signature of Samsung while the larger screen gets the Fonblet moniker.

Regardless of the screen size, the upcoming Samsung smartphone will come this time with flexible screen that was reported earlier this year to be the main attraction of the recently unpacked Galaxy S4, according to Unwired View.

"The unbreakable display will be among the Note 3's most important features. The screen, believed to measure 5.9 inches, should be a flexible AMOLED one with 1920 x 1280 pixels," the same report said, citing a South Korean publication as its source.

In any case, both devices will be given the full implements of the 8-core Exynos Octa 5 chip that was selectively deployed with the Galaxy S4.

The new phablet or Fonblet is also expected to carry main camera sensor of between 13MP and 16MP with Key Lime Pie most likely running the show since Google is set to release the new Android version by the second half of 2013.

The Note 3 is rumoured to be uncloaked via the 2013 IFA event in Berlin on September.
