Samsung has just introduced two new budget smartphones in China -- the Galaxy On5 and the Galaxy On7. It would appear the Korean tech giant is planning to boost its market share in China.

Considering the devices are expected to be attached to cheap prices, consumers can also expect a few slight compromises with regards to the devices' hardware. Still, it must be noted these new models will still turn out to be solid handset options, especially for potential buyers on a very tight budget.

The Galaxy On5 features a 5-inch screen while the Galaxy On7 sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, as reported by Sam Mobile. Both of these units are going to be powered by an Exynos 3475 processor, along with 1.5 GB of RAM.

Both come out of their packages running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, as mentioned in Tech Times. Plus, they also feature 8 GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for added space.

The Galaxy On7 features a longer lasting battery with 3,000 mAh. The Galaxy On5, meanwhile, only sports a 2,600 mAh battery.

Unfortunately, their prices remain unknown at this point since both devices are entry level models. It’s expected the phones will be cheaper than most models. Samsung may have already unveiled the Galaxy On5 and the Galaxy On7 in China and will also soon launch them in other markets.

Tech Times has reported that the Galaxy On5 hasn’t yet been listed on the Chinese website of Samsung. That said, the specs reported for it are still rumours at this point. The device has already been mentioned in a promotional image for its partner, the Galaxy On7, which guarantees the phone’s official specs will be revealed soon.
