Samsung is letting out a barrage of Galaxy smartphones to choose from in a three-month spread, beginning with the supersized Galaxy Mega and to be capped by the long-awaited Galaxy S4 Mini.

Following its supposed release date in April, which obviously never happened, the GS4 Mini will finally land on July, according to Samsung-centric blog site SamMobile, adding that before the Mini's arrival, three handsets are scheduled for a global rollout by Samsung.

Coming out anytime this week is the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Europeans will be the first recipient of the new Samsung phablet that easily beats the Galaxy Note 3 in terms of screen size. It is widely believed that the Note 3 will hit the market bearing screen of between 5.5-inch and 5.9-inch.

The Mega debut will be followed by another Mega variant next week, which is the Galaxy Mega 5.8. The general understanding is - both oversized smartphones are Samsung's way of offering more affordable alternative for buyers who find the Note series attractive but were prevented from buying by the high price tag.

It is expected that supply distribution of the two Megas will be mostly focused on emerging markets, likely starting off in Russia and China.

By the first week of June, consumers can also look forward in trying out the Galaxy S4 Zoom, a GS4 variant that shows off a shrunk screen at 4.3-inch with qHD Super AMOLED. But the distinct feature of this Samsung serving lies on the camera, which SamMobile said will be equipped with optical zoom plus a sensor chip that runs as high as 16MP.

Then in mid-July, the MIA GS4 Mini will finally emerge flashing the same screen size as that of the GS4 Zoom. As indicated by Samsung earlier, the Mini replaces the Galaxy S3 Mini, which was designed as the scaled-down version of the Galaxy S3.

It was intended to satisfy customers' demands for a miniature Samsung flagship version with less cash requirements and the GS4 Mini will largely sustain that role.

At around the same time, a rugged flavour of the GS4 will make its mark, breaking out first on select Euro and Asian markets. It will be called Galaxy S4 Activ and its main come-in is extra durability.

Specifics have yet to be provided by Samsung but the Activ is thought to provide protection from liquid and dust penetration, which are handset features popularly associated with the Sony flagship, the Xperia Z.

On its report, SamMobile has stressed that the launch dates would generally vary depending on targeted markets. That would some countries would get a specific smartphone model in advance while other will have to wait a bit longer.
