Save The World Now In ‘Mighty Marvel Heroes’
After some anticipation, Marvel’s new mobile brawler is here. “Mighty Marvel Heroes” is a real-time multiplayer game that allows players to form squads of their favourite Marvel heroes as they take on various foes like the mad titan Thanos and this summer’s blockbuster super villain Ultron from “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Players will be pitted against a variety of threats as they try to dominate the scoreboard and see who has the best squad. Players will be able to form teams with their Marvel favourites like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America and the entire cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Fans can also expect a solid story, as Comic Book Resources has confirmed that comic writer Fred Van Lente will be writing the story of the game. Van Lente has written a good number of comics for Marvel over the years, including a short run on “The Amazing Spider-Man” as well as a critically acclaimed run with writer Greg Pak on “The Incredible Hercules.” He is currently writing a “Conan the Barbarian” series for Dark Horse Comics.
As expected, the game has a pretty simple control method, with players merely tapping where the characters should go and whom they should attack. Since players will take control of multiple characters in “Mighty Marvel Heroes,” they simply have to tap their teammates if they want to switch to them.
Since the game is free-to-play, mobile fans will know what to expect from the game. Touch Arcade has confirmed that there are energy timers, various currencies and the possibly annoying fact that players will need to have internet if they want to play. “Mighty Marvel Heroes” has also taken a page out of the “Marvel’s Contest of Champions” book, since players will have to go through a roulette to get a new character instead of simply being able to purchase a new one.
“Mighty Marvel Heroes” is available now for both iOS and Android devices. Players who purchase the game this week will get the Hulk as a playable character, since the gamma radiated behemoth beat Rocket Raccoon, when developer DeNa games asked fans who they would want as a launch day bonus.
