Scandal On The Ellen DeGeneres Show: 'Scandal' Cast Members Play Hilarious Trivia Game, Surprises Host With Portia De Rossi Guest Appearance
The cast members of "Scandal" Season 4 dropped by "The Ellen De Generes Show" on Thursday, Sept. 25, to promote the brand new season of the ABC TV series and also have fun with TV host Ellen DeGeneres. The stars of the hit ABC drama agreed to spill a personal secret during the hilarious "Scandal Secret" trivia game but they decided to give Ellen DeGeneres a surprise first with the guest appearance of her Aussie wife, Portia De Rossi.
In the shared YouTube video, the "Scandal" cast members are ready to play Ellen DeGeneres' "The Scandal Secret" trivia game but actress Kerry Washington (Olivia Pope) suddenly cut off the 56-year-old TV host and comedienne to reveal a secret that she has been hiding. Washington came out with Ellen's 41-year-old wife, Portia De Rossi, who will be appearing in several "Scandal" Season 4 episodes as a recurring cast member.
"How did that happen? How did you do that?" DeGeneres asked as she welcomed her wife on the show and then hugged Kerry Washington to thank her. With the team members now complete, the "Scandal" stars are now ready to guess who wrote down the personal secret that Ellen DeGeneres read out aloud.
The viewers found out that Darby Stanchfield (Abby Whelan) is scared every single day that she is going to be arrested, Tony Goldwyn (President Fitzgerald Grant) almost set his house on fire when he was 5 years old, Bellamy Young (Melody Grant) learned to ride a bike only two years ago, Guillermo Diaz (Huck) sleeps with a stuffed animal every night and Scott Foley (Jake Ballard) got arrested three times in one day for multiple traffic offenses. Watch the video below of the hilarious "Scandal" trivia game and Ellen's reaction to Portia De Rossi coming out on stage.
The other "Scandal" cast members that promoted the fourth season of the ABC TV series and participated in the "Scandal Secret" trivia game are Katie Lowes (Quinn Perkins), Jeff Perry (Cyrus Beene) and Joshua Malina (David Rosen). The "Scandal" Season 4 premiere episode aired Thursday night, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
