"Scandal," the successful ABC primetime political thriller series, is set to make an explosive come back with the upcoming Season 3. Tony Goldwyn revealed that viewers will find out in the early part of Season 3 who is the person responsible for exposing President Grant's affair with Olivia Pope, the character that actress Kerry Washington portrays. "The reveal will come very soon. And you will be really shaken by it," Mr Goldwyn stated in the Huffington Post report.

The 53-year-old actor talked about as well what his character's approach is when it comes to all of the drama in the White House. "Fitz really wants to approach everything in as upfront a way as possible. Now there's lots of people in his life who are gonna object to that and keep him from doing it. Fitz is trying to steer clearly through this but he's not successful. [Laughs.] Lots of bombs go off in his face," Tony shared.

Mr Goldwyn tried his best to reveal details on the upcoming TV drama series but not too much. "Honestly I don't know what I can tease, but I know that's true -- there's lots of suggestions that that's where we're going," the actor stated.

When asked to describe "Scandal" Season 3 in one word, Tony Goldwyn said that it is not possible. "It's not a word, but pushing the envelope. That's the way I would describe it," Tony declared. He further added that creator Shonda Rhimes continues to create surprises in the show without any repeats.

"It just continues in Season 3. I am really amazed at her ability to just keep driving forward. She's just on fire," Mr Goldwyn shared. Another hinted detail for the new "Scandal" season involves adding actress Lisa Kudrow in the cast members list.
