El Niño Lagging Behind, Could Come in September – Australia

From an initial July impact forecast, the Australia's Bureau of Meteorology announced the El Niño weather phenomenon seemed to lag behind and might probably develop by September, even as it saw a deceleration in Pacific Ocean warming associated with the weather pattern.

Alaska Volcano Observatory Scientists Lower Pavlof Volcano Alert Warning to Orange

Alaska's volcano - Pavlof- is one of the most active and currently showing lots of seismic activity and erupting which began late Friday, May 30th. Indonesia’s Sangeang Api Volcano Erupts, Ash Causes Cancellation of Australia-Indonesia Flights (VIDEOS)

Mount Sangeang Api in Indonesia erupted on Friday, spewing ashes in the air between 20,000 and 50,000 feet in the air and up to 15 kilometres across. The ash plume swept towards Alice Springs in Australia. The eruption caused Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia to cancel all flights between Australia and Bali. Among the cancelled route were Bali-bound planes from Melbourne, Darwin, Adelaide and East Kimberley. Also cancelled were Jetstar Asia trips between Bali and Singapore.
