It appears Samsung wants to release every size of tablet imaginable. Reports note the latest of the lot is the Galaxy Note 12.2. Dubbed as the SM-P900, the latest leak about Samsung's latest tablet reveals what it may look like.

The SM-P900 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 first appeared in July. Several reports hinted that the Korean tech giant has been developing a line of higher-end tablets and the Note 12.2 is part of the group. During the same month, several sources cited that testing and evaluation of the device had already started.

Many expect two versions of the Galaxy Note 12.2 to come out: a WiFi only model and a 4G LTE version. The display is reported to be at 2,560×1,600 pixel resolution. This latest leak confirms the existence of the device and its actual appearance once it hits stores.

Despite the expectations during the IFA 2013, Samsung has made it clear before that it will be launching their latest phablet and smartwatch during the event. The Korean tech giant refrained from divulging any details about the latest tablet or when it will come.

Due to the increasing interest over Samsung's self-developed Exynos 5 octa processor, many speculate the next Note tablet will also run on the same chip. As the tablet can be categorized under Samsung's 9x series, there is a high possibility that it will be a flagship device.

Throughout the years, Samsung made it a point to categorize their flagship products under the 9x series. The image leak came from a Korean site MovePlayer. If the image provided proves to be true, then people can expect a square physical home button. The design also has fewer curves much like what people expected for the latest Note 3.

Samsung's continuous release of too many computer and smartphone variants still puzzles and interests many. After all, the market can only have so many options before consumers feel saturated. It still remains unclear what target group Samsung is aiming for. Some analysts believe Samsung wants to target business professionals and companies. The tablet makes for a good office-based device especially for those who prefer tablets instead of laptops.

While the tablet competition is veering away from minute sizes to bigger versions, Apple is also looking into releasing a similar-sized tablet. Until Samsung and Apple finally decide to release both tablets in stores, the market will have to wait for another rivalry.
