Shane Warne Looks for Personal Assistant on Twitter, Mocked Once Again on Social Media
Shane Warne is looking for a new personal assistant. The social networking craze went to a new height when he looked for a PA on the Internet. Mr Warne tweeted on Monday, Jan 20, that he was looking for a PA since his "wonderful" PA decided to move on. He wrote that he was looking for an assistant as soon as possible. Then he provided an email address where people could send their resume to. Mr Warne asked people to apply if they thought they had the "correct skills".
Mr Warnie may well be aware that people may not always be in a mood to take him seriously on social media. Only days back, when he posted a naked selfie [See Here], he was strongly criticised for it. In fact, he was practically mocked for it. He clarified that he was quite serious about the announcement and claimed that he would interview the final four in the coming week. He demanded that only interested and professional people should apply for the job. He asked people not to be "silly" about it.
People on Twitter, on the other hand, seems not be in a mood yet to take Mr Warne seriously. When he tweeted "Help!" with a link that directed to an Instagram photo, one Twitter user Gez Moyles replied identically with "Help" with another link. Mr Warne's Instagram pic showed a handwritten note assumingly by Mr Warne himself on his letterhead, saying: "I need a new PA. If interested please email twilliams@seek.com.au Thank you Shane!!" Moyles image also showed one handwritten note that read: "We need a new cricket team. If interested please apply to Billy Smarts Circus!"
While Mr Warne continues to be made fun of on social media, he has not yet clarified what he meant by "correct skills" that he would look for in the assistant. Nor did he clarify if she should be willing to receive sexually explicit text messages from her boss.
