Sierra Games, an indie subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. has announced a new puzzle game called "Shiftlings." The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with a release schedule of Spring 2015 according to a report from PlayStation Lifestyle and Rocket Pocket Games will develop the game.

The game "Shiftlings" will focus on two adorable alien janitors who have to travel through the cosmos and solve complex puzzle challenges for an intergalactic reality show. The protagonists are paired together through a space hose attached to their suits and must pass gas - seriously - to expand in size and work together to solve puzzles.

Our leads for the game are going to have to work together to solve puzzles, slide some blocks and hit some switches to win prizes from the reality show. And yes, they have to do that by farting. Only their "cheek squeaks" are the things that will let them turn big or small through the aforementioned space hose to overcome various challenges. They can even use themselves as trampolines to go through obstacles.

Website VG247 has confirmed 50 levels this far for the fart filled platformer. The game will have a single player mode for gamers willing to test their flatulence skills either by themselves or they can share the butt funk with a friend through co-op. The 50 levels are spread through 5 planets with the two aliens having to trek across them for the hopefully awesome prizes that await them.

Various screen shots of the game can be seen through Game Informer and it's clear that Sierra has put a lot of effort into the game. The graphics are very colorful and wonderfully detailed - which the trailer for the game seen below also showcases. The leads also have interesting character designs and very detailed facial expressions so there's nothing lifeless about the two.

Sierra's Bob Loya has stated that the project is something the company took immediate interest in partially due to the imagination from Rocket Pocket Games as well as their new ways of redoing various puzzles that have been seen in other platform puzzlers. Also: farts, plenty of them.
