'The Sims 4' First Expansion Pack To Roll Out Tomorrow With Halloween Theme Via Teaser Images
Tomorrow is a big day for "The Sims 4" players as EA tweeted a possible expansion pack that will be rolled out. It features a scary theme in time for the celebration of Halloween.
Something spooky is heading to "The Sims 4," according to the official Twitter account of the game. Two tweets featured a female Sim scared of the Grim Reaper and a gnome with the text, "It's going to be an exciting week in #TheSims4..." Several hours ago, another tweet revealed that "unexpected guests" may come over in "The Sims 4" tomorrow, featuring an image of a male Sim about to wet his pants.
Unfortunately, there is no official title of the expansion pack yet as well as information about the features that it would bring to the game aside from the idea of Halloween. Previous game titles have expansion packs in line with seasons and holidays with additional in-game items and mechanics to improve the gaming experience.
Past Expansion Packs Related To Holidays And Seasons
On "The Sims 2," EA and Maxis released the Holiday Party Pack in November 17, 2005, which added more than 20 holiday-theme in-game items with Santa Claus. This stuff pack has been added as well in "The Sims 2: Happy Holiday Stuff" and "The Sims 2 Holiday Edition 2006," which also included Asian and European holiday themes.
Season attribution on "The Sims" was featured since "The Sims 2," which had the name "Seasons" as its expansion pack. The expansion pack included new jobs, PlantSims, a new neighbourhood and new in-game mechanics related to the four seasons.
"The Sims 3" also had an expansion pack of the same name with brand new features for the four seasons. Players of "The Sims 3" with Seasons EP installed were able to enjoy festival events held in parks, several in-game items with interactions related to seasons, change of weather and new moodlets, and holidays for each season: Leisure Day, Spooky Day, Snowflake Day and Love Day.
Seasons EP has an updated weather system on "The Sims 3," which includes sunny, rain of different degree, hail, snow, fog and even thunderstorms. Sims can also view the weather forecast by using TV sets while players can set the duration and conditions of each season from the settings.
