Siri Gives Its User Attitude When Asked Senseless Math Questions
Siri is Apple’s very nice and courteous assistant. In fact, she has oftentimes been too nice that majority of today’s Apple device users tend to ask her very dumb questions just to find out how the computer generated assistant will respond.
Doing exactly this, Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” asked Siri to divide zero by zero. Apparently, he wanted to know whether or not he could break Siri by asking her an indeterminate mathematical equation. Turning things around, though, Siri responded with a bit of attitude and turned snarky for a moment, as reported by CNET.
“Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends,” Siri started. “How many cookies does each person get? See? It does not make sense. And, Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends.”
Siri managed to relatively humiliate the person asking the ridiculous questions with the use of cookie-related principles. What would have made this snarky response even more interesting was if Siri answered back using Cookie Monster’s voice.
This is not the only question that brought out Siri’s mean girl side. A Twitter feed has even been created by Apple device users who, at some point, have been insulted by Siri one way or another. Those who want to find out how snarkier Siri can do so by asking her more ridiculous math-related questions.
“Do you like me?” the Apple gadget user asked. “I would not wish any companion in the world but you.” The user then asked a follow up questions, “Why?” Siri only answered, “I do not know. Frankly, I have wondered that myself.”
“When is the world going to end?” another inquired. Siri was pretty clever in her response when she answered back, “Well, Unix 32-bit time overflows on January 19, 2038. Maybe then.”
