"Skylanders: Trap Team" developed by Toys for Bob, Beenox and Vicarious Visions for Nintendo 3DS, "PS4," "PS3," Wii U, Wii, Xbox One and Xbox 360 will be released on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014 in North America. It is published by Activision. Read on to learn more about it.

According to the official website of "Skylanders: Trap Team," the game is about some villains that were set free from the Cloudcracker Prison, no thanks to Kaos. Skylanders must use the Traptanium^TM to find and capture them. The Traptanium^TM enables Skylanders to harness the Elements, trap the villains and use them to fight for good in the Skylands.

"Skylanders: Trap Team" players have the option to play the game as Skylanders or as Villains.

1. Traptanium Portal - activates the characters in the game.

2. Traps - stores 47 enemy characters originally found in the game.

3. Trap Masters - stronger Skylanders that can stand up against trappable villains.

4. Skylanders Minis - miniature versions of Skylanders that are also playable.

5. Hidden Quests for Villains - unlocks exclusive upgrades in the game.

6. Villain Vault - found in the "Skylanders: Trap Team" hub world and is used to store villains.

7. "Skystones Smash" mini-game - a tabletop style card game that uses numbers.
